Warranty Information (Summary Only)

This page provides a high-level overview of warranty coverage. Complete warranty terms, conditions, exclusions, and procedures are contained in your signed Work Agreement and the Dulux manufacturer warranty documentation.

Full payment is required before any manufacturer or workmanship warranty can commence, as set out in your signed Work Agreement.

15-Year Dulux Manufacturer Warranty

Industry-Leading Protection

When it comes to your roof, you want longevity, durability, and peace of mind that your investment is protected. We apply Dulux Acratex roof coating systems to Dulux's specification, and eligible coatings carry Dulux's own 15-year manufacturer warranty on their materials. We are Dulux Acratex Accredited Applicators.

What Does the 15-Year Dulux Manufacturer Warranty Cover?

When you restore your roof with the Dulux Acratex system, you're investing in a commitment to your roof's longevity and performance.

Film Integrity

The coating system will retain its film integrity, ensuring your roof remains in top condition.

No Peeling

Coverage against any peeling issues arising from faulty manufacture or formulation.

No Cracking

Your roof coating maintains its integrity, free from unsightly cracks.

Important Clarification: Understanding Your Warranty Coverage

Eligible Acratex coatings carry Dulux's 15-year manufacturer warranty. That warranty is issued by Dulux Australia, not by us, and it covers their coating materials. If Dulux honours a claim, the remedy is limited to replacement or equivalent materials, reduced in proportion to how much of the warranty period has passed. It does not cover the labour to remove or reapply a coating, scaffolding, access equipment or site costs.

Our own guarantee is separate: 12 months on our workmanship. See "What we guarantee" below.

The manufacturer warranty does not cover roof leaks caused by structural movement, substrate failure, existing roof defects, building movement, poor ventilation, or factors outside the coating system. Cosmetic appearance, colour variation, gloss level, and natural weathering are not covered.

Roof Restorers Perth Workmanship Guarantee

In addition to the Dulux manufacturer warranty, Roof Restorers Perth provides a 12-month workmanship guarantee covering our repointing, rebedding, tile replacement and leak repairs on tiled roofs. It does not extend to cleaning, gutter work or the coating application itself, which the Dulux materials warranty covers. This guarantee is subject to full payment and the terms outlined in your work agreement.

Warranty Requirements

Dulux Acratex System:
Roof must be restored using Dulux Acratex Roof Membrane coating following product specifications
Proper Application:
Applied strictly according to Dulux instructions and applicator manual
Substrate Standards:
Substrate must meet statutory requirements and building code standards
No Previous Coatings:
Warranty applies only to roofs NOT previously coated

Important Exclusions

Previous Coatings:
Does not cover application over existing coatings
Consequential Loss:
Excludes indirect loss like income, profit, business, or reputation
Additional Coatings:
Void if another coating is applied over the Dulux system
Natural Weathering:
Minor color/gloss changes, fading, chalking due to normal weathering expected (Normal fading from UV exposure is expected and not covered)

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Talk to us first:

Call us on 08 6388 4492. We hold the application record for your roof and can lodge a manufacturer claim with Dulux on your behalf, with your consent.

Have your paperwork handy:

Your signed contract and invoice. Dulux no longer issues a per-job warranty certificate, so nothing else is needed from you.

Timely Notification:

Notify within 14 days of discovering defects, and within 90 days of defect becoming apparent

Looking After Your Roof Long-Term

A restored roof is a low-maintenance roof, but here's what to keep in mind over the years:

Years 1-5

Your roof should need nothing. Just enjoy it. If you notice anything unusual, get in touch.

Years 5-10

Keep gutters clear of debris. Consider a gutter check if you notice drainage issues.

Years 10-15+

When it's time to refresh, a recoat extends protection another 10-15 years - at a fraction of full restoration cost.

Non-Transferable: All warranties are personal to the original contracting client and are not transferable or assignable. If the property is sold, leased, or otherwise changes occupation, all warranties terminate on the date of settlement, lease commencement, or change of occupation.

In the event of any inconsistency between this page and those documents, the Work Agreement and Dulux terms prevail.

Nothing on this page excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy available to you under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be lawfully excluded.
